What’s good about libraries? B

Library A to Z: BIā€™m following the A to Z Challenge by posting every day in April (except Sundays) about the importance of libraries. I’m using the Library A to Z advocacy materials and a small selection of quotations in each post.

What good things about libraries begin with B?

Baby bounce and rhyme; biographies (learn about others); Blu-rays; board games; book club; books; borrowing; breakout space; breast-feeding (space for mothers with babies); business information.

  3. I am about to leave to take four of my five kids to the library … where we are eager to check out the new BOOKS (our favorite B library word). So much to love about libraries besides books though. Our favorite librarian is a wonderful lady we call MRS. B. And when we had two foster kids living in our home, we were faithful to attend the BABY & ME story time each week.

    I think this is a great A-to-Z theme. As a library-lover, I can’t wait to read on the rest of the month for more wonderful reasons to love the library. šŸ™‚

  5. Bike locks. My library system has bike locks available to use while at the library. Too many people were tying to bring their bikes in the library because they forgot their lock.

  6. This is such a cool idea for the A to Z challenge.
    The first thing I ever dreamed of being when I was a child was a librarian.
    šŸ™‚
    I have so many fond memories of the library in my town, going with my mother, my siblings.
    I loved the smell of the library, being visually impaired, I loved bright colours and pictures in books.
    I just went with my mother and two-year-old nephew the other day. My mom got a card so she could get books out for her grandchildren. It was a lovely sight to see, the first time he looked at the shelves, rows and rows of books, and to see which book he ended up finally choosing.

    Loved it. I will never forget that day.
    I just recently heard of this challenge and had a lot going on so decided not to take part this year, but hopefully next.
    For now, I am reading as many as I can, to see what different and unique themes people choose.
    This one is right up there for me and I am compiling a list, one or two for every letter of the alphabet, for May 1st on my blog. This will definitely be included.
